Ball and grinding Mill is mainly used to grind materials in mineral, cement, refractory, chemical industry, etc. Ball grinding Mill has dry and wet ways. When wet Ball grinding Mill works, certain water and other liquid will be added into materials to increase flow ability of materials, so the capacity is increased. When dry Ball grinding Mill works, capacity is affected because material flow ability is reduced, so absorbing wind device is needed on the outlet of Ball grinding Mill, and then negative pressure is formed in the Ball grinding Mill to increase flow ability of material, so the capacity is increased.
Ball grinding mill use steel balls for grinding media. When the ball grinding mill works, motor and speed reducer transmit torque force to big and small gears of ball mill, so the barrel rotates. When the barrel rotates, Steel balls or other grinding media in the barrel are lifted to a certain height and fall down freely, so materials in the barrel are impacted. Grinding media mixing with materials impact and grind materials continuously. The grinding media and materials impact and grind each other when the ball grinding mill rotates continuously. The final product will be discharged from outlet when it meets the request, so the grinding process is finished application range, simple structure and convenient maintenance.
The Advantage of Wet Type grinding mill machine
The Ball Grinding Mill can be divided into dry type ball grinding mill and wet type ball grinding mill, according to the humidity of materials they process. In the foreign countries 1950s, dry type Ball grinding Mills take up a very large proportion , around 70%. However, with technology improving, the higher required standards of energy saving and environmental protection, wet type ball grinding mill develops rapidly. The quantity has surpassed dry type ball grinding mill, and has taken up 75 % of the total number of ball grinding mills. Compared with dry type ball grinding mill, wet type one has the following advantages.
First, investment for wet type ball grinding mill is lower than that of dry type ball grinding mills. At the same condition, it`s investment is almost equal to that of grinding process. Dry type one must be equipped with a set of wind path system, which has more auxiliary equipment. While the wet type one has less of them and the transportation device is simple, so that it`s total investment is about 5 %~ 10% lower than that of dry type one. Also, it need more power itself, but the dry type one with it`s wind path system consume more power.
Second, dry type ball grinding mill will consume about 25%~30% more energy per ton than wet type one if continuously- working , as a very thin material layer will be formed between mineral ore and bushing plate due to mineral ore humidity.
Third, dry type ball grinding mill has strict requirements for moisture content of raw ores. For there is much clay, the moisture content should be under 49%. If less, it should be around 5 percent which will not affect production. Higher moisture content can cause low discharge or no discharge. In order to reduce water content, air heater should be equipped, thus the investment and production cost will be increased. But wet processing ball grinding mill can process ores with high humidity and high clay. Besides, when choosing low-grade magnetic iron ores, it is inclined to get any required product size, and is suitable for Magnetic Separation.
